February STEM Activity Design and Build a Valentine Box February STEM Activity – “Build a Box” Students can design and build their own Valentine box. Materials that can be used include shoe boxes, tape, scissors, paper, battery operated lights. Guidelines: Students cannot build more than 2 feet tall or 2 feet wide and the object bust be completely sealed with the exception of one opening for students to put the Valentines in on that day. Examples of projects students have done in the past include: Minion, mini Paris scene (shoe box with little lights and paper figures), a robot, shoebox wrapped in gift wrap and colored, a pirate ship, and the list goes on. This is an opportunity for students to brainstorm what they want to create, be creative, create a design, and build their model. It is so much fun. Every student who brings one in will receive a participation award. Be creative and have fun!!!!
