What We’re Learning
Letterland: Closed and Open Syllables:This week, we will be reviewing open and closed syllables. Remember, an open syllable has a vowel that is shouting its name. A closed syllable says its short sound, because they don’t want to shout in another Letterlander’s ear. We will be learning a few two-syllable words such as music, robot and open.
Reading: We will read Henry and Mudge, while focusing on character, char.
Traits/determing the differences in the point of view of the char.
Math: Read/write numbers0-
1000;understand 3-digit numbers, skp counting. Fluently add/subt. within 20. Know if a group of obj. has even/odd number.

Homework:
Read nightly for 20 minutes and record.
Buy a magazine box and bring to school.
