Final Persuasive Writing Assignment-Brainstorming Topics
To wrap up our study of persuasive techniques and rhetorical devices, you will be choosing a topic
that is important to you, conducting some research, and creating a final persuasive “product”, with
an opportunity to bring your topic to a broader audience.
Step 1: Brainstorm. The first step in this process is brainstorming possible ideas and topics that
are meaningful to you, that you can take a stand on and persuade others about. You can consider
issues as simple as school policies or areas of need in our community, or as broad as issues affecting
