Math Baseline Monday
We are working hard in first grade! We have
started working in centers and pulling small
groups of students to work in reading and
math. If you would like to come and
volunteer in the classroom please let me
know and please do not hesitate to contact
me with any questions or concerns. The

Reading 3D Testing starts

from 11:50-12:20.

Snacks:
Please start sending your
student with a snack on
Monday. If you would like to
help stock our classroom with
snacks for those in need I would
really appreciate the help! We do
not have a peanut allergy in the
classroom.
Reading / Language Arts:
We will be spending time practicing
building our reading stamina and working
on our sight words and handwriting. A lot of
our work right now is with understanding
how to work in small groups and practicing
procedures. Next week you will get your
first set of spelling homework.
Reading 3D:
Math:
This week we will start Reading
3D testing. This test will help us
see what your student’s reading
level is. We will then use this
test to work with your child in
small groups with books that are
on their level.
We will be working on writing,
manipulating, and recognizing numbers 1120 this week. Next week you will get your
first set of math homework.
