This week our habit focus will be Habit 1:
Be Proactive. This means that you are in
charge of yourself and that you can do the
right thing…even if no one is watching. It
means that your attitude defines your day.

Friday Mrs. Arias’ class has a
Spanish Spelling Test
Snacks:
We are in need of snacks! If you
would like to help stock our
classroom with snacks for those
in need I would really appreciate
the help! We do not have a
peanut allergy in the classroom.
Reading 3D:
This week we will continue
Reading 3D testing. This test will
help us see what your student’s
reading level is. We will then use
this test to work with your child
in small groups with books that
are on their level.
Reading Bags:
Your child will begin bringing
home books to read.

Reading / Language Arts:
We will be spending time practicing
building our reading stamina and working
on our sight words and handwriting. A lot of
our work right now is with understanding
how to work in small groups and practicing
procedures. This week we will start our
spelling homework in English!
Math:
We will be working on writing,
manipulating, and recognizing numbers 1120 this week. This is the first week of
homework. If you check the top of your
students paper there will be a due date so
you know when it needs to be turned in.
