Read non-fiction article by Nafisi about The Great Gatsby and comment as a class. Analyze the importance of detail in determining character (flipchart). 3. Hand out The Great Gatsby and read by next Monday. 4. Read first paragraph from “Eveline” by James Joyce and discuss details in groups. 5. Then finish reading Eveline and be able to predict what happens at the end of the story. What path will Eveline choose?
