TO THE ECCLES COMMUNITY COMMITTEE

BLOCK 3 FUNDING – ROAD, TRAFFIC AND PEDESTRIAN PROJECTS
Further to the last Block 3 meeting, I enclose a list of schemes that have been put forward for
consideration of Block 3 spend.
If you have a request for a scheme to be considered in the new financial year from the 2010/11
Block 3 budget can you please contact the Neighbourhood Team on 0161 603 4290 to request
a form.
BARTON
Areas to the road behind and pavements near to the Dog & Partridge P.H.
Repairs to carriageway, footway and replacement of kerbing - £5,049.00
Task Group recommend this scheme for decision at Community Committee in January 2011.
BLOCK 3 FUNDING SPENT TO DATE: £461,000
REMAINING FUND TO ALLOCATE: £39,000
£10,000 Maintaining the Asset Fund to be committed by 31st March 2011
Recommended Schemes
 Guard rails to footpath on Kiel Close/Barton Lane
Extension of original guard rail – £958.60
Task Group recommend this scheme for decision at Community Committee in January 2011.
N.B. The original scheme and quote had been previously ratified at Community Committee held
on 28.09.10 - £560.00.
Following advice from U/V the length of rail is to be increased
It is recommended by the Task Group that the remainder of this fund be split between the
three wards on an equal basis.
