SCRATCH is a new

Delete the cat by
right-clicking on
the sprite in the
lower-right pane

Add a new sprite
by clicking on the
“Get surprise
sprite” icon

Drag a move steps block into the Scripts
area, click on the block to play


Click on Sound.
Drag out a play drum block and snap in
the Scripts area


Click and listen
You can choose
different drums
from the pull
down menu


To add a new sprite from file click on the
button shown below.
Choose from Animals, Fantasy, Letters,
People, etc.



Click the Sound
tab
Click the Import
button
Choose any sound



Click the Scripts tab
Drag play sound block
Choose your sound from the pull down
menu



By switching
between costumes
you can animate a
sprite
To add a costume
click the
Costumes tab
Click Import to
choose the second
costume



Move the “Play
Sound” block in
the Forever block
Add a “When
Green Flag
Clicked” block
above the Forever
block
Play !!!
