Hello everyone,
Here is the four minute program I made to help you with taking the exam . It appears to be
working fine.
To listen to it, follow this path: Class website home page > “Course Materials” > “Reference Materials” >
“HowToTakeTest” (folder) > HowToTakeTest.htm (Program File)> click the arrow in the center of the
screen to start the program. It will take about three seconds to start. In the “HowToTakeTest” folder
there are several files. Be sure to open the one ending in “.htm” not any other. The other items are
needed to make the program work.
Finally, it helps to turn off the pop-up blocker on your computer when taking the exam (directions
below).

Here is an earlier written summary of, “How to take an exam online”:
1. Turn off pop-up blocker
a. Firefox
i. Tools > Options > Content > (uncheck) “Block pop-up windows” > OK
b. Internet Explorer
i. Tools > Internet options > Privacy > (uncheck) :Turn on pop-up blocker” > Apply
2. Log into WebCT
Go to: http://elvis.sccd.ctc.edu:8900
For logging into your WebCT class account:
UserID = your first initial and entire last name. (all lowercase, one word)
Password = last six digits of your Student ID.

Click on exam icon
Click on name of exam
Read directions
Click on “Begin quiz”
Answer question
Repeat for all questions
Click “Finish”
Click “OK”
Click ok “Submit quiz for grading”
Note: Watch the countdown clock in the upper right hand corner to see how much time is left. Your
answers will no longer be recorded after the clock reaches zero, and you will not be able to have
additional time.
