American Democracy Project refreshments and assisting with voting registration
at the polls. If interested in helping sign up on sign in sheet. Green fund moving
forward chair of the Green fund met with Jean along with the Green fund chair
and will hopefully start accepting Green initiative applications early Nov or Dec.
E-cigarettes OSA is it only concerned on e-cigs come down and see me and I can
email you about our platform.

OSA 14-008
WHEREAS, Wisconsin’s Clean Air Act, Section 101.123, Wisconsin Statutes, restricts smoking
in state-owned buildings, including all University buildings, property, and at events; however,
does not include vapor devices in its definition of “smoking,” and
WHEREAS, UW Oshkosh’s Senate for Academic Staff and Faculty Senate have passed
resolutions opposing the use of vapor devices in campus buildings, property and at events, and
WHEREAS, the Oshkosh Student Association (OSA) has not received definitive evidence of
health concerns of vapor devices, and
WHEREAS, members of the OSA have displayed concern with the potential infringement on
personal liberty caused by the limitation of the use of vapor devices in academic buildings, and
WHEREAS, members of the OSA have displayed concern with the potential for e-cigarettes to
be distracting or irritating to students and professors during class, and
THEREFOR, BE IT RESOLVED, the OSA has not come to a majority opinion regarding the
prohibition of use of e-cigarettes in campus buildings, property and at events; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, the OSA believes it is the right of a professor to prohibit the use
of e-cigarettes in their classroom; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, the OSA encourages users of electronic cigarettes to be mindful
of non-users while using vapor devices; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that OSA will re-visit the issue of vapor devices when solid
evidence of the health effects of vapor devices becomes available; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, the OSA will consider conducting legislative action, including
but not limited to bringing the issue of the use of vapor devices to referendum in the spring of
2015.
BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED, that upon passage through OSA Senate and Assembly, that a
copy of this resolution be sent to Chancellor-designate Andrew Leavitt, Dr. Petra Roter, Interim
Chancellor of UW Oshkosh; Dr. Sharon Kipetz, Interim Vice Chancellor of Student Affairs; and
Dr. Lane Earns, Provost.

important questions for student body and a resolution that was put to the floor and make it
official that we want more information from the student body and be active that we are working
on it. League of Legends? Is this open to committee? No only students at this point. May be a
referendum for the elections this spring but can’t say for sure as we do not have an election
commissioner appointed.
Motion to amend by replacing all e-cigarettes with vapor devices by Students for Conceal
Carry, 2nd by YAL, passed voice vote, no objections, no abstentions
Motion to add amend by adding Chancellor-designate Andrew Leavitt to the BE IT
FINALLY RESOLVED clause of the resolution by Student for Conceal Carry, 2nd by
IGNITE, passed voice vote, no objections, no abstentions

carving. STAND Human vs Zombies game – campus wide game of tag. Please do not
HSU Friday Halloween party in the Titan Underground 8 to 12 pm.
