TC pays back Cedar Valley in big way According to the Temple Daily Telegram, Bennie Tate, Brandon Washington and Damon Bailey each poured in 19 points to power the Temple College men’s basketball team to a 104-74 victory or Cedar Valley on Thursday at TC Gym. The Leopards (8-2) picked up their fifth consecutive win since dropping an 86-79 decision to Cedar Valley (5-5) on Nov. 13 in Lancaster. “We had an 11-point halftime lead against them earlier this year but hit only eight shots in the second half and lost, “ TC coach Kirby Johnson said. “We were so disappointed with that game, we hung up a sign for this game saying ‘pay back time.’” The Leopards rolled out to a 15 point halftime advantage and never let up. TC got five 3-pointers from Tate and hit eight as a team in improving to 5-0 at home. “Two of our goals this year are to win every home game and never lost to any team twice,” Johnson said.
