This portfolio remains focused around its core Helo business, but has recently added programmes in the wider airborne Mission System and Maritime business sectors. This broadening of domains offers new and exciting challenges for the Integration and Test Team, offering opportunities to embrace differing approached to Integration and Test. Specific Job Description: The successful candidate for this vacancy will be introduced into the world of Integration and Test, including rig and laboratory support, and given the opportunity to experience a variety of technical functions within the Integration and Test lifecycle. The candidate will support a number of different programmes, with the responsibility for Integration and Test, as well as supporting the design, development, manufacture and support of test facilities rigs used on a range of programmes. This role will include aspects of electrical and mechanical design, development, installation and repair. The role will report to the Specialist Engineering Manager, and will take technical guidance from the appropriate Integration and Test Lead The candidate will be encouraged to work in a variety of Integration and Test environments, learning new skills with support from a wealth of experienced engineers, and will be expected to generate products that meet the standards and processes defined in the relevant Integration, Test, Evaluation and Acceptance Plans, as well as the documented requirements. Required Skills: 5 GCSEs (A* to C) including Maths, English and Information & Communications Technology (or equivalent qualification). A Levels / BTEC Level 3 in related subjects. You will have an interest in Hardware Development and Engineering, including ensuring that equipment operates correctly and a basic understanding of the aspects that this entails. You will have a keen interest in how things work, and be motivated by creating solutions for challenging problems. - Ability to work well in a team environment Problem determination & resolution Good IT skills in a range of SW packages would be an advantage Logical and careful approach to analysing requirements, creating appropriate test requirements and developing implementation solutions, as well as an understanding of the role of test in ensuring delivery of mature products.
