Dear Parents,
This is just a reminder that all late or make up homework or tests are due
by Friday, March 14th, which is approaching the end of the third quarter grading
period. We strongly encourage you to go onto your child’s www.engrade.com
account with him/her and check grades at this point in time. Students are able to
make up any homework assignment that is missing (Missing due to absence can
get 100% points, other late work will get 70% credit) and are also able to correct
a test if they scored below 70%. The new score will be adjusted to 70% if they
turn in corrections on all the problems missed. This has been our policy and all
students are well aware. We have told students that with these opportunities in
place, there is really no excuse for a failing grade. You are able to check Engrade
at any time and we want to be sure there are no surprises on the third quarter
progress report. Third quarter will be averaged with the fourth quarter for a final
semester grade at the end of the year.
* You should only be concerned about seeing M or abs on Engrade. Blank spaces
on Engrade do not count against students. It just means that the teacher has not
input the grade or the assignment has not been done yet.
