hacking cough. Explain the cause (in terms of histology) of his cough.
(think location – type of epithelium & what’s wrong with the epithelium)

A TA setting up labs loses the labels to 2 prepared slides to be studied.
One slide is of a human esophagus, the other is human (small) intestine.
Since you volunteer to help, how will you figure out which slide is which?

The epidermis (of your skin) is a keratinized stratified squamous
epithelium. What does “keratinized” mean? Why is keratinized
squamous epithelium much better suited for protecting the body’s
external surface than something like simple cubiodal epithelium?

Ryan tripped and tore one of the tendons surrounding his ankle. In
anguish with pain, he asked his doctor how quickly he could expect to
heal. What do you think the doctor’s response was and why?
