NY State Module 4: Number Pairs, Addition and
Subtraction to 10
We are learning to solve math problems using
different strategies: number bonds, manipulatives,
drawings, ten frames, counting on our fingers, and
mental math.
Please review: Please make sure your child can count
to 100 and name numbers to 20.

learning how to answer questions
about a text.
This week, we are continuing to learn
to read and write words with

Your child should be able to name all
uppercase and lowercase letters and
sounds. If your child cannot do this please
practice at home.
Please keep practicing the decodable
sight word list sent home. Your child
should be able to read these words
automatically!
We have 3 new trick words that cannot
be sounded out. Please have your child
review these each night:

We are wrapping up our maps and globes unit.
On Wednesday, we are starting our “Then and
Now”
unit.
