Parent conferences are November 19th.
Half Day of School: November 19th
No School: November 11th, 25th, 26th, 27th
We are in marking Period 2 so we have Gym
only on Mondays now. We have Art Tuesdays
and Fridays.
Please make sure your child is doing the
homework and bringing it back to school in
their folder by Friday.
Math
We are at the end of NY State Math Module 0ne.
The assessment is this week. Please make sure
your child writes numbers and counts objects
from 0-10.
Please make sure your child knows one more, one
less for numbers 1-10. “What number is one less
than 7?” “What number is one more than 9?”
Social Studies
We are learning “How to be a Friend” using our
Social Studies Alive Program.

Our Unit is “Stories”. We are
reviewing the stories we have read
and the vocabulary words: fiction,
characters, setting.
We are asking and answering
questions about stories we have
read.
Please read with your child every
night and make sure your child can
answer questions about the story.
Your child should be able to name
the sounds for lowercase letters.
Please practice every night until they
can name them smoothly.
Our focus sounds are: z, v, f, h, p,
a, i, o, m, t, d, o, c, g, n, s.

homework for your child to practice
reading this week!
