dry erase markers. We use them for ELA, Math,
and Writing every day.

Math
NY State Module 4: Number Pairs, Addition and
Subtraction to 10
We are learning to solve math problems using
different strategies: number bonds, manipulatives,
drawings, ten frames, counting on our fingers, and
mental math.
Please review: Please make sure your child can count
to 100 and name numbers to 20.
Social Studies

In Listening and Learning, we are
learning how to answer questions
about a text.
This week, we are continuing to learn
digraphs:

sh, qu, ng
Your child should be able to name all
uppercase and lowercase letters and
sounds. If your child cannot do this
please practice at home.
Please keep practicing the decodable
sight word list sent home. Your child
should be able to read these words
automatically!
We are also reviewing trick words that
cannot be sounded out. Please have your
child review these each night:

the, was, to, said, with,

We are learning about maps and globes. We
will follow a map to find a treasure chest.
