Homework
Reading – We want students to read
a minimum of 40 minutes each week!
Please record the number of minutes
your student reads and initial on the
reading log, even if it is a zero. The
reading log should be signed each
night and your child should have a
total of 40 minutes by Friday.
Work Work – This week, please have
students do any type of practice
with some of the 1st Six Weeks
Sight Words. You can make flash
cards, practice writing them, or
anything you want. Please write
“SW” in the Word Work column this
week.

Dear Parents,
Welcome to our class! This is going to be an exciting year for you and
your child. Please make sure that you are checking your child’s binder on
a nightly basis. Inside you will find the current newsletter, their
homework, and completed assignments. The newsletter is a very
important piece of communication from me and you.
