Math
We have started unit 5,
which covers
multiplication. Please look
over your child’s homework
with them each night.
Please study multiplication
facts with your child at
home, especially over
Winter Break. I have sets
of cards and other
resources for you to
borrow. Just send me an eReading
Minutes
mail.
Reading minutes are collected every
Monday. Your child should read 120
minutes per week!
Reading/ Literacy
We are still working on our mystery
novels in class. These are very
engaging books. We will also be
working on OCCT practice books before
Winter Break. Please be sure to look
over these with your child.
Social
Studies/Science
We have been focusing on science. We
finished our unit in motion and design.
We began our unit provided by OERB. In
this unit, we learn about oil and natural
gas. OERB trains teachers to do this and
we get a free trip to Oklahoma City to
the Science Museum in March. Be sure to
ask your
child whatInformation
he/she has learned so
General
far!
Snack: The students are allowed to bring a
healthy snack to class. Fruits,
vegetables, and granola bars are some
examples. Please do not send candy as a
