Lab write-up for The Menstrual Cycle/In the Womb Video
Abstract: Tell the reader what you learned from doing the
graphing portion of the lab and from watching the video. Keep this
SUCCINCT and very general---you will elaborate later in the lab
write-up. NO PERSONAL PRONOUNS!!!
Introduction:
1) Define the menstrual cycle and explain how the endocrine
system accomplishes the task of keeping the cycle going 28
days.
2) Define spermatogenesis and oogenesis. What are the
products of these processes?
3) Discuss how the male and female reproductive systems
have evolved to insure the fitness of the human race in
terms of reproduction (note: remember what “fitness”
means in biology!)
Materials: lab and In the Womb video
Data:
1) Include the graphs from the menstrual cycle lab. Make
sure you use a key to differentiate the lines, depicting the
data in a pleasing, easy to read manner.
2) Get anatomical illustrations of the male and female
anatomy. Create a table explaining the anatomy and the
physiology of both sexes.

Answer all questions from the Menstrual Cycle Lab in
complete sentences.
Discussion:
You watched the video and learned things you NEVER KNEW
