John Cabot University Student Government Social Event Report Event: ROMECOMING 2012 JCU PEGEANT When: Monday SEPTEMBER 24th, 2012 Where: Aula Magna Regina, Guarini Campus Attendance: The Aula Magna was full, people were sitting on the floor at the back, and in total around 150 people came to watch, the ten participants. Guests: The jury was composed of professors, our advisor, Alumni, staff and one student government member. Purpose: As the first event of the Romecoming week, the idea was make our best to present the new program and the purpose of the entire week. The main goal of the single event was to strengthen the sense of community also thanks to a diverse jury. Participants had to compete against each other and prove to be the best at a talent, at answering some JCU Facts, showing their formal attire, and showing JCU spirit. Details: / Expenditures: Total was around €150: Two free gala tickets, crowns and face paint. Media: There were problems with the computer audio concerning the volume and consistency of the music. There were several people who took pictures of the event. Outcomes: Overall, this event was a success in which a large part of the student body, and even faculty and staff, were able to participate. It gave students a greater sense of community and school spirit, at a reasonable cost to the Student Government budget.
