 Student Interviews: Interview another student in the class, preferably someone you do not
know or know well and record the following information on an index card
- Name
- Previous Earth Science courses
- Memory of middle school earth science
- Word association with "geology"

Seminar Topic: Field Geology – Reading the Rocks
Demonstration – Gearing up for field work
Powerpoint – Field geology in northern Minnesota
Homework (Due Tues. Jan. 23)
Write a one page essay (200-300 words) on the question: "Why should we study the Earth?".
Discuss at least two answers to this question. Submit your essay as a Word document or text
