Discussions & Changes:
FRISCO Day had some challenges in that we only had four months to plan and we simply tried to
accomplish too many things in one day. In addition to the Resource Fair and College Orientations,
there were admissions/application, registration, and Financial Aid workshops available to
students. While well received, not all were well attended or had to be cancelled. However,
despite the challenges, the day was very productive and CCSF reached its goal by issuing early
registration dates to 1,068 SFUSD graduates for Fall2011, up from 390, the previous Fall
semester. Plans for next year's FRISCO Day are already underway and will focus on orientation
activities such as Career Workshops, Interactive Resource Fairs, and How to Register for Classes.
The plan is for the front-end matriculation services such as application workshops, testing, and
counseling to occur prior to FRISCO day.
Collaborate with other Student Services Units and Interested Academic Units to integrate improvements
into next cycle.
