Introduction On the first day of class I gave each student a college composition book to use as a journal and a 32-day commitment paper. Each student was to commit to write something in the journal everyday for 32 days 2. Set-up & Supplies A journal and a 32-day commitment paper. 3. Directions After they received their supplies, they were divided into groups of four for the semester(success groups). What worked well? They liked their groups and especially their FREE journal. What would you change? I would do the exercise in exactly the same way. Would you use the activity/strategy again? Why or why not? I would use this strategy again because it created enthusiasm and all of the students participated. Please describe any student learning and/or changes that you observed after the implementation of the activity/strategy. The students seem committed to the class.
