Jo Ann: Jo Ann thanked Bob for the presentation of the Facilities Master Plan at the Board Meeting. Announcement was made that Ron Gerhard was leaving for Peralta College. Met with PE coaches regarding the Stadium/Track issues. The meeting went well. Committee Reports/Division Issues: Bob: 2010 Facilities Master Plan (FMP) was adopted by our board on June 21, 2010. There will be a deficit of $333 million between the 2010 Facilities Master Plan and original Facilities Master Plan. Moving forward with the following projects: Stadium/Track Shops MCS Renovation Parking Structure TBP has been selected as the Architect firm for the Shops project. In the process of doing reference check for the Architect firm for the MSC Renovation. Started the Architect process for the Stadium/Track project. Contract has been awarded for the Social Science project. Rocky: Continuing work on the year-end. Staples is the new vendor the District supplies. Mass meeting will be setup for all users on the new process for ordering supplies through Staples. Julie: All is quiet at the Bookstore. Waiting to see how sales will be next week. Janice: Thanks to all for getting their budget worksheet in. All of Administrative Services budget is on Datatel. Tom B: Question on who unlocks the Administrative Building? Monday – Campus Police. Tuesday through Friday night custodian. Babs: Working on identifying bond equipment purchases for 2007 fiscal year. Fixed Asset records do not reflect tax, installation and delivery cost associated to the purchase of equipment. For insurance purposes the value of equipment is understated. If items are not received in the warehouse, it is not in the fixed asset system. Federal funds used to buy equipment for categorical program have to be identified in the inventory. Tom C: Looking into Legislative AB381were District employee groups can join State Disability Insurance. No cost to the District, except for monitoring and administrating the program. Researching other Districts that have implemented the program. Mike: The picketers are back with the banner. Talked with Ventura College Police Chief and he said they had no problems with these picketers. They are also picketing one of our Board members place of work. State of California has come up with a proposal for colleting another $3 fee from parking citations. This $3 fee is for keeping the Court’s open on Friday’s. FYI Sunday at 2am two guys were seen by the Facilities area parking lot, our Police went to see and one of them dumped a gun on our Police, consequently they were arrested. John: Last week (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday) there were over 100,000 logon’s from off-campus. Since we went live, last July, there have been over 3 million logons. 320 Faculty laptops have been ordered for ECC and 85 for Compton Center will be ordered. Satish: Monitoring portal for bottle neck occurrences, we have Datatel on call for looking at the issue. Putting virtual desktop lab in the Assessment Center. They have a total of 40 computers, 20 will be replaced with virtual desktops. Currently there are 10 virtual desktops in the Financial Aid office Meeting adjourned at 11a.m.
