The meeting began at 2:05 p.m.
I. INFORMATION
A. Notes of December 13, 2012: Distributed and reviewed.
1. Page 2, B, #2, C – A system for El Camino College implemented two months ago.
2. January 10, 2013 meeting was cancelled.
II. DISCUSSION/ACTION
A. Degree and Certificates Annual Report: Handout distributed.
1. Summary of Degrees and Certificates awarded to students at El Camino College and
El Camino College Compton Center was presented.
2. At ECC, a combination of 2,175 degrees and certificates were awarded to students.
At the Compton Center, a combination of 332 degrees and certificates were awarded
to students.
B. Changes in Transfer Count Methodology: Handout distributed.
1. Summary of California Postsecondary Education Commission (CPEC) and National
Student Clearinghouse (NSC) was presented.
2. Discussion on methodology and reporting differences between CPEC and NSC.
3. Four-year institutions identify Compton transfers as ECC transfers, inflating ECC
numbers and suppressing Compton numbers.
4. It is important to have transfer numbers verified and accurate.
C. Review and Discussion of AP 5055 Draft: First draft of the Enrollment Priorities
Regulations/Procedures were distributed.
1. Summary of the first draft was presented.
2. Discussion of the various groups and reasons for priority registration.
3. Should other groups be considered for priority registration? Should others be
removed? Reasons?
4. Information Technology department should be represented at the Enrollment
Management meetings to discuss their role in programming registration for the
various groups.
III. NEXT MEETING
The Committee would like the next meeting to be held on Thursday, March 7, 2013.
