**Parents – REMEMBER that Freshmen Students are NEVER allowed to leave campus without a parent/guardian! This includes during testing, EVEN when they have 2nd lunch. This is for their safety. You are always welcome to come and check your student out for lunch! *Please remind your wonderful kiddos that, although it is a time of year for testing and extra challenges, to be mindful of showing respect in class. They should: (1) come prepared with the proper materials, (2) follow our no cell phone policy, (3) know that hall passes are ONLY for emergencies, and (4) LISTEN when I am talking. Thank you so much!!! *Classes will meet in Room 157 today & tomorrow for the Biology EOI, and in Room 159 on Wednesday & Thursday due to the Algebra I EOI. We will be back in our own classroom on Friday. *”Romeo and Juliet”: We are continuing to read the play and complete a study guide as we go. An online version of the entire play is available on my website, along with a modern translation. *Poetry Island: Students completed their “Redemption Challenge” last week: Soccer Poetry! Because of EOI testing this week, the last two tribes will compete in the FINAL Challenge next Monday!!! *Jurassic Park: Students are paying special attention to several elements in this Page-2-Screen selection, written by Harvard Medical Grad, Michael Crichton. Students will answer prompts after the entire viewing over the Iteration (sequence of events leading to the outcome), Suspense in Literature (what keeps the reader/audience engaged), and Ethics (just because we CAN do something, does it mean we SHOULD do it??). *Jaguar NEWS: **Don’t forget to check my website and Class Calendar there to see what is going on each week. Have a great week! **Athletic Events are on the school website! Spring sports have kicked off! Get out an enjoy them during this great weather!!! “Go Jaguars!”
