IT’S BOOK FAIR TIME
November 16-19
* Free Book Fair App – Lets you scan a book
& gives you a reading level, summary, similar
titles, cost and lets you make a wish list.
* Online Book Fair Nov. 7-20 – Can’t make it
to the Book Fair, simply order online at

reading? Are you logging in your
minutes? Help Southridge reach its
goal of 100,000 reading minutes! Is
it possible before the end of the 1st
semester? GO LEOPARDS!
* Reading Night – Nov. 16th from 6-8 p.m.
There will be a picture booth, SWOKC library
staff to sign up for a library card or view the
many resources offered such as free online
tutoring
Remember: use book markers to
mark your page rather than bend the pages!
* For each $10 spent at the Book Fair, put
your name in a drawing for prizes to include
free books, Sonic and Walmart gift cards, etc.
Check out is 3 weeks. Fines are $.25/day after
a 1 week grace period if you don’t renew or
return. Upon receiving a reminder notice, take
care of it immediately to avoid fines.
Pick up a scavenger hunt reading list in
VETERANS HONORED
November 11th is the day set aside to honor veterans
that have fought to protect the United States and our
rights. Visit your Media Center to check out the
special section. Learn about Today’s U.S. Air Force,
Military Special Ops: Navy Seals or Marine Special
Forces, Army Rangers, Night Stalkers or Special
Forces. Or read realistic/historical fiction such as
Operation Yes, Vietnam, World War II, Revenge Jason
Steed and many others.

category. Fill out a form for each book
read related to the scavenger hunt list and
drop into the box. All necessary items may
be found on top of the Book Drop cabinet.
Each week a name will be drawn for a
prize. There will be a reward party at the
end of the year for all who’ve completed
the scavenger hunt list, so let Mrs.
Johnson know when you have.
