Wright State University has been named a “veteran-friendly” campus by several sources
and is actively working to promote veteran-related issues around campus,
Recalling,
The department of Veterans Affairs (VA) has strict guidelines that prohibit payment for
any coursework outside of the student’s strict academic plan,
Emphasizing,
Priority registration would allow veterans to take the courses they need for their major,
Highlighting,
Veteran students only have 36 months of GI Bill benefits,
Understanding,
The need to reduce overloaded schedules and to increase the ability of satisfying course
sequences in a timely manner,
Further noting,
Implementation of priority registration for individuals benefiting from the GI Bill will
improve recruitment and retention of said individuals with no cost to Wright State
University.
