Purpose
This unit standard is for people working in the semi-worsted or
worsted yarn making industry. People credited with this unit
standard are able to: describe the machine variables and their
effect on yarn construction; set-up a spinning machine for safe
and efficient manufacture of yarn that meets specification;
analyse test results to confirm correct operation; maintain the
machine; and keep records.
