Evidence requirements 2.1 Crust leather is inspected and graded in accordance with company specifications and customer requirements. 2.2 Crust leather is trimmed to give maximum yield for the leather type in accordance with company tolerance specifications. 2.3 Trimming removes faults with minimal leather damage and product wastage in accordance with company specifications for leather type and production processes. 2.4 Crust leather trimmings are handled and processed in accordance with company specifications. 2.5 Knife maintenance, use, and safety meet company specifications. 2.6 Consistency of grading and trimming between crust leather units and batches is checked to ensure it meets company specifications. 2.7 Graded units are counted, identified, and recorded in accordance with company requirements and specifications. 2.8 Problems affecting the supply of a constant high light environment during grading operations are reported in accordance with company specifications. 2.9 This unit standard is Samples and tests of crust leather are taken in accordance with company method and frequency specifications. expiring 2.10 Graded and trimmed crust leather is presented, stacked, and transferred to the next stage of processing in accordance with company specifications. 2.11 Process control checks and documentation are completed in accordance with company specifications.
