Purpose
This theory-based unit standard is for people who work in the
industrial textile fabrication industry. People credited with this
unit standard are able to demonstrate knowledge of: job
specifications; and confirming job specifications and planning a
job, for the industrial textile fabrication industry.

Legislation relevant to this unit standard includes but is not limited to – the Health
and Safety in Employment Act 1992; Resource Management Act 1991; Building Act
2004 and associated codes; and local body regulations.

Definition
Company requirements refer to instructions to staff on policy and procedures which
are documented in memo or manual format and are available in the workplace.
These requirements include but are not limited to – company specifications and
procedures, work instructions, manufacturer specifications, product quality
specifications, and legislative requirements.

Evidence requirements
1.1
Legislative requirements and the importance of noting them in job specifications
are identified in accordance with company requirements.
1.2
Drawings that make up a job specifications are identified in accordance with
company requirements.
Range
may include but is not limited to – pictorial sketch, general
arrangement showing standard views, fabric pattern drawing,
detailed construction drawings; line drawings, blueprints, sketches.
