People credited with this unit standard are able to describe the relevance of anatomy and physiology knowledge to beauty therapy practice. This is a core component of beauty therapy practice and underpins performance in all practical aspects of the trade. Evidence requirements 1.1 Anatomical and physiological systems are described in terms of why knowledge of them is relevant when performing facial treatments. Range 1.2 systems include – integumentary, circulatory, digestive, endocrine. Anatomical and physiological systems are described in terms of why knowledge of them is relevant when performing massage treatments.
