This unit standard is for entry level learners in the beauty
therapy industry who wish to develop their background
knowledge of the beauty therapy industry.
People credited with this unit standard are able to describe the
relevance of anatomy and physiology knowledge to beauty
therapy practice.
This is a core component of beauty therapy practice and
underpins performance in all practical aspects of the trade.

NZQA before they can register credits from assessment against unit standards.
Providers and Industry Training Organisations, which have been granted consent and
which are assessing against unit standards must engage with the moderation system that
applies to those standards.
