This unit standard is for experienced people in the meat
processing industry and whose job requires them to apply
workplace hygiene and food safety requirements when
processing meat products.
People credited with this unit standard are able to: identify and
describe food safety requirements in the meat processing
industry; and explain workplace hygiene requirements in the
meat processing industry.

Outcome 1
Identify and describe food safety requirements in the meat processing industry.
Evidence requirements
1.1
Five causes of product contamination are identified and described in terms of
their impact on meat products.

described in accordance with organisational and statutory requirements.
