Support for Budget Equity AY 2012.1.1
Whereas, UH Maui College is facing the prospect of a profound fiscal burden
according to the 2012-2013 Biennial Budget, support is herein given to John
Morton’s and Michael Unebasami’s efforts in equalizing and updating the
calculation methods by which UHMC has historically received the least higher
education general fund allocations on a per capita basis for its students as
compared to other counties.
The Academic Senate urges allocation of equitable funding to support
expeditious graduation of students as well as the other unique responsibilities
of a tri-isle college such as inter-island travel and distance learning
infrastructure.
