Definition
Travel industry workplace policies and procedures refer to documented instructions
about workplace expectations, these must include but are not limited to – customer
service delivery, personal presentation, legislation, organisational structure, business
objectives.
Elements and performance criteria
Element 1
Demonstrate knowledge of the role responsibilities of a wholesale travel ticketing
consultant.
Performance criteria
1.1
The role responsibilities of a wholesale travel ticketing consultant are described
in accordance with travel industry workplace policies and procedures.
Range
responsibilities may include but are not limited to – answering
enquiries from wholesale consultants, ticketing, queues, liaising
with airline staff.
Element 2
Complete wholesale travel ticketing tasks.
Performance criteria
2.1
Passenger name records (PNRs) are checked and issues needing resolution
are referred to the wholesale travel consultant in accordance with airline
requirements and travel industry workplace policies and procedures.

2.2
PNRs are ticketed in accordance with airline requirements and travel industry
workplace policies and procedures.
Range
2.3
evidence is required for six different PNRs;
two of which must include at least six sectors.

Tickets are reissued in accordance with airline requirements and travel industry
workplace policies and procedures.

Providers must be accredited by NZQA, or an inter-institutional body with delegated
authority for quality assurance, before they can report credits from assessment against
unit standards or deliver courses of study leading to that assessment.

Industry Training Organisations must be accredited by NZQA before they can register
credits from assessment against unit standards.
Accredited providers and Industry Training Organisations assessing against unit standards
must engage with the moderation system that applies to those standards.

standard are outlined in the Accreditation and Moderation Action Plan (AMAP). The
AMAP also includes useful information about special requirements for organisations
wishing to develop education and training programmes, such as minimum qualifications for
