Wholesale travel environment refers to those workplaces involved in inbound and outbound travel. In the travel industry these workplaces are also known as outbound tour operators, general sales agents (GSAs), inbound tour operators and/or domestic tour operators. 4 Recommended texts for this unit standard are the ServiceIQ training resources. Elements and performance criteria Element 1 Demonstrate knowledge of the role responsibilities of a wholesale travel finalisation consultant. Performance criteria 1.1 The role responsibilities of a wholesale travel finalisation consultant are described in accordance with travel industry workplace policies and procedures. Range responsibilities may include but are not limited to – banking, urgent queues, processing electronic documents, processing manual documents, ordering other suppliers documents, checking documents. Element 2 Complete finalisation tasks in a wholesale travel environment. Performance criteria 2.1 Documents are processed and/or requested in accordance with travel industry workplace policies and procedures. Range documents may include but are not limited to – airline tickets, inhouse vouchers, other suppliers’ vouchers, itineraries, passes; evidence is required for four different types. 2.2 Documents are reissued in accordance with travel industry workplace policies and procedures. 2.3 Documents are sent out in accordance with travel industry workplace policies and procedures. Industry Training Organisations must be accredited by NZQA before they can register credits from assessment against unit standards. Accredited providers and Industry Training Organisations assessing against unit standards must engage with the moderation system that applies to those standards.
