To create the proper []D symbol so that the 26 is directly on top of the D: 1. On the Insert menu, click Field. 2. Select Equations and Formulas in the Categories box. 3. In the dialog box at the bottom, type: EQ \s\up 5 (26) \d\ba 15 () \s\down 5 (D) Note: to change the temperature change the 26 to the actual temperature. 4. Click OK 5. The 26 and D are now on top of each other. Select this and change the font size to 10. Note: This assumes you are using Times 12 pt font. To change the temperature on an inserted equation: 1. Hold down control and click on the equation (PC: right Click). 2. Select Toggle Field Codes—if this doesn’t show up try clicking again directly on the equation. 3. A cryptic formula in brackets {} will appear. 4. Edit the number you want to change 5. Repeat steps 1 and 2. Or copy this: []26 +25.3 D
