Warm-up: brain storm to come up with trigger
words that imply repetition in the past
(imperfect tense).
Guided Practice #1: Students will learn when to
use either imperfect or preterit tense by using
the acronym WATERS. Also the teacher will
explain 6 categories that suggest the use of
either one.
Closing: Student will write sentences following
examples given by the teacher.
Tuesday 11/4/2014
Warm-up: A student will write his/her sentences
on the board and as a group the class will debate
about the accuracy of them.
Guided practice: Students will star preterit vs
imperfect project.

music, sports.
Exit ticket. The teacher will write some
sentences that need to be corrected by the
students.
