Monday Week of September 29-October 3, 2014 Teacher: Kindred Team: APUSH Weekly Learning Targets I can analyze how Britain’s victory over France in the imperial struggle for North America led to new conflicts among the British government, the North American colonists, and American Indians, culminating in the creation of a new nation. I can describe new experiments with democratic ideas and republican forms of government, as well as other new religious, economic, and cultural ideas, challenged traditional imperial systems across the Atlantic World. Activities: 1. Do Now- Define the Proclamation of 1763 2. Class Discussion: Colonial Response- Class will discuss the colonial response to the end of salutary neglect. 3. APUSH Short Answer Question Practice- Students will practice responding to an SAQ in 10 minutes. Then, students will peer edit responses. Writing Skills: Thesis Development- Students will practice writing thesis statements. 4. Chapter 4 Quiz- Students will answer 15 multiple choice questions over Brinkley Chapter 4.
