Darkwood Arts and Sciences Saturday, September 29, 2007 This event provides an educational day for students with a medieval studies bias. All the teachers are volunteers chosen from their respective fields for their knowledge and talents. It is generally composed of six tracks of one to two hour classes. Classes have in the past included: How to make Roman style fibulas, Making a T-Tunic, medieval heraldry, medieval calligraphy, medieval dance, book binding, sewing, how to run a medieval type event, and beginning metalsmithing. The event is open to everyone. It is requested that people attempt to wear pre-sixteenth century clothing. Some pre-sixteenth century clothes will be available for loan on the day of the event. The event is free with the exception of material or hand out fees from some teachers. These fees are not for profit and are only gathered by the teachers to cover material costs.
