Q: A plant wants to market its products by depots. In order to do that 4 possible different regions is determined to open a depot and transportation costs between depots and centers that products will be distributed to, is calculated. If they will be opened, either depot 1 or depot 3 should be opened. If depot 2 will be opened, depot 4 should be opened as well. Also at most 3 depots should be opened. a) Formulate a mathematical model that minimizes total transportation and depot opening cost and determines which depots should be opened and distribution plan. b) Solve the problem with GAMS.
