UNIVERSITY COUNCIL MEMBERSHIP OPPORTUNITIES Exeter is one of the most successful and dynamic universities in the country. Now rated 7 in the UK Times league table, we are progressing towards our goal of being ranked within the top 100 universities worldwide. The Council, chaired by Sarah Turvill, is the governing body of the University with responsibility for overseeing and ensuring the effective management of the institution’s activities, determining its future strategy and fostering an environment in which the institutional mission is achieved. There are three vacancies for external members to serve on Council from August 2015. Expected to make a positive and enthusiastic contribution to achieving the University’s mission, our council members are fully engaged with the institution’s strategic decision-making processes promoting the University’s interests in local, national and international arenas. We would welcome expressions of interest from outstanding strategic thinkers who are able to apply their professional skills and experience to the work of the Council. Individuals with experience in Research, Science, Information Technology and/or developing partnerships with commerce, industry and the third sector are particularly welcomed. For further information and to express your interest in being considered for membership, please send a CV and covering letter to Jill Williams, Executive Officer to the Chief Operating Officer (Tel: 01392 723045, email: jill.williams@exeter.ac.uk).
