Fresh look for Freshers’ Week 2012, pre-departure information and ‘Meet and Greet’ service There have been some exciting changes made for Freshers’ Week, which this year will start on Saturday 15 September – a week earlier than in previous years. We have also taken a radical look at our pre-departure information to make it more user-friendly and relevant. Students will be sent four pre-departure emails prior to arrival providing them with vital information on preparing for Exeter. We strongly advise that students should read carefully our International Students Guide and online information, both items being highlighted in the emails concerned. If you have a smartphone, you can download the iExeter App from the App Store icon, and this provides a complete list of events. Full information on Exeter for new students can be found here. Please remind your students that, if they wish to use our Heathrow ‘Meet and Greet’ service operating on 15 and 16 September, all seats must be pre-booked. This year, this facility is available both to family members accompanying the student (up to a maximum of four) and to INTO students. For more information about the Meet and Greet service please click here. Students can email the International Student Support Office for guidance about Meet and Greet, or if they have any other issues or concerns, such as about visas at sid@exeter. ac.uk.
