What We Learned
This Week…
Math – This week we reinforced our multiplication skills.
We practiced multiplying by multiples of tens and by two
digit numbers. We also strengthened our problem solving
skills by solving word problems using equations.
Reading – In our book clubs we continued reading and
discussing realistic fiction books. We discussed themes and
lessons learned. We also analyzed the characters in our
books and tracked their journeys through the story.
Writing – We finished drafting our personal narratives and
used ARMS and COPS to revise and edit them with a
partner. We began publishing our writing and will share
our stories next week.
Science – This week we continued dissecting owl pellets to
discover what owls eat. We separated the bones from the
fur, identified the bones, and assembled the bones into a
skeleton. We found voles, mice, and birds!
