Ian is the Managing Director and owner of Spend Network. Having over 12 years’ experience
of working with public procurement data, Ian grew tired of waiting for Government data on
spending and contracts to be published in a usable format. Ian decided to build the database
of spending and tenders himself and created www.spendnetwork.com.
Spend Network hosts over £1trn in spending and 1.8m tender documents and is an
invaluable research tool for anyone wishing to do business with Government. Spend Network
is part of the Open Data Institute's (www.theodi.org) start up programme.
Prior to Spend Network, Ian ran Ticon UK Ltd, a management consultancy focused on
transaction and procurement efficiency, which started in 2003.
