Science & Social Studies -We have been talking about families and the things we like to do together. -We are beginning to learn about the first Thanksgiving. We will learn more next week. Report Cards Your child’s first trimester report card will be coming home next Thursday. I am so proud of ALL of the children for the progress they have made since we started school on that hot August day! Many children are at the “learning skill” stage at this point of the year for many of the introduced skills. There are also quite a few skills that we have marked NI (not introduced) at this time. Some of these skills have been introduced and practiced, but the children have not yet been assessed on their progress in these areas. I am looking forward to meeting with you in the next couple of weeks to further discuss your child’s days in kindergarten. Please let me know if the time on the reminder sheet you received no longer works for you. Friendship Feast Please see the attached note about our Friendship Feast on November 24th. Please continue to work on getting winter gear on and off independently, including buttons, zippers, boots, snow pants, scarves, gloves, and mittens. When it becomes time to wear snow boots, please be sure to send an extra pair of shoes that your child is able to put on him or herself. We spend a lot of time sitting on the floor, so we like to keep wet boots in the hallway. Some friends are also practicing turning sleeves “right side out”. I appreciate your help!
