Test Description – OTCL 510 A Describe the knowledge and skills required to pass the test Comprehension of the first half of the first year of basic Hebrew grammar. This test is the equivalent to the final exam for the first semester of Biblical Hebrew. B List the topics covered in the test Basic Hebrew vocabulary, morphology, and grammar. C What is the format of the test? Students are asked to identify the meaning of vocabulary words, to write out the paradigms for the Qal perfect and imperfect strong verbs, to answer basic grammar questions, to parse verbs (strong and irregular forms), and to translate basic phrases and sentences from Hebrew into English. D How many Questions are on the test? 42 E List suggested study resources, if appropriate. Test is based on a course that uses The Basics of Biblical Hebrew (text and workbook) as the course text. Other first year Hebrew grammars would also be valuable resources for review and study.
