Course Syllabus
Welcome and it’s great to have you join me as I introduce the essentials of business, marketing and finance. I look forward to a very successful semester with each of you.
Purpose
This course is designed to improve students’ knowledge and skills in economies and private enterprise systems, the impact of global business, marketing of goods and services, advertising, and product pricing. Students will be expected to:
(A) locate and interpret written information; (B) incorporate supplementary resources and references; (C) demonstrate active listening through oral and written feedback; (D) demonstrate productive work habits and attitudes, for example, dependability and punctuality; and (E) organize ideas logically and sequentially.
Course Description
This course allows students to reinforce, apply, and transfer academic knowledge and skills to a variety of interesting and relevant activities, problems and settings in business, marketing, and finance.

The 10 percent of the grade dealing with Active Participation means that the student actively participates in the communication of the class.
Feedback
Comments on graded work
Grades will be received within a week from when an assignment is submitted.
Calls will be made to parents as needed if work is continuously submitted late or not completed.
Rules and Consequences
Rules:

It is the student’s responsibility to take care of any equipment provided by the school.
2.
Students are expected to do their own work.
3.
Zero Tolerance for cheating / plagiarizing
4.
Be on time and prepared for class.
5.
Submit work according to the assigned due date, unless changes are previously arranged with instructor.
6.
Be courteous (treat others the way you want to be treated).
7.
Be attentive and respond only when called on.
8.
Food or drinks are NOT allowed at any time in class (including gum).
9.
ABSOLUTELY NO CELL PHONES ALLOWED IN CLASS FOR ANY
REASON.
