Policy Statement
Civil War
Mr. Silva
2014-2015
Dear Student and Parent(s)/Guardian(s):
I am happy to have you in my class and look forward to a good semester with you. In order for it to be a good semester, however, your involvement and cooperation are vital.
It is my job to provide an atmosphere in which things can be accomplished that will help you succeed in my class. I have to do what is best for the class as a whole. With this in mind, I have developed a short list of classroom rules for you to follow as well as a list of steps taken if you choose to not adhere to the rules.
The rules are:
1.
Students will RESPECT the feelings and property of everyone in the room, including themselves.
2.
Appropriate language and behavior will be used at all times.
Steps taken if the rules are broken are:
1.
First warning
2.
Second warning
3.
Personal detention
4.
Send to Grade Level Dean
5.
Call home to parent
Retain this policy for future reference.
It is the responsibility of the student to have this policy statement signed by both students and parent(s)/guardian(s), and will count as the first homework assignment.
I have read this policy statement with my daughter/son.
